Fairy makeover

She came back over with lots of super super gorgeous things so I was so excited. She prepped me with strobe cream which is used to brighten and enhances the effect of light on the skin! So I looked all glowy and I really liked the finish to it - I think in the summer if your skin was clear you could could get away with that alone!

Next we started off with a concealer to cover any little blemishes and darkness under the eyes, she picked out the mineralise concealer for me - I am not sure of the shade but I must admit I wasn't wowed by it and I didn't think the coverage was as good as the collection 2000 lasting perfection but it was nice to have on for the day 

Then my foundation, and omg it is just the most amazing product I have ever used or seen or anything. It was the MatchMaster spf 15 foundation in shade 1.0 and it is a perfect match for my skin - it offers really good coverage and still makes me look glowwy!! Pure perfection 

For my cheeks she used a gorgeous highlighter that was so pretty and shimmery and it was very pretty but I cant find it on the website to show you a picture!! She also used a bronzer in shade golden and it is perfect not to obvious but a good contourer and adds a nice amount of colour to my cheeks!

Then onto my eyes and this was by far my favourite part of the makeover and they looked massive and not so boring and shiny and *sigh* I loved it!

So for the base we used the 'Bare Study' paint pot which was an almost rose gold shine 

Then to highlight we used 'shroom' which in person is a white gold shimmer not a purple like it looks in the picture.. It is such a cute highlighter and makes you look far far more awake and your eyes look far wider

 And then for definition we used 'Omega' and it is perfect. I think it is a colour that would suit every one under the sun, it doubles as an eye brow filler and eye liner! She used it for extra definition 

Then I had a really thin line of eye liner to thicken my lash line in shade 'black track' 

For my actual lashes she used studio fix lash which is really good for making lashes splay out and as I have so many they tend to stick together so it was amazing  

And to finish off for my lips I specifically asked for a nudey pink lip so that it was wearable and not overly showy! She found me the perfect colour which is 'creme cup' 

So that concludes it! I specifically asked for a school look that I know I could doll up for a particular event! I think it matched the brief perfectly and received many a compliment when wearing the look! I ended up buying the foundation, the omega eye shadow, the bronzer and lipstick. I am planning on getting the mascara this weekend and Geogria was so sweet and decantered me a massive lump of the paint pot as she knew I couldn't really afford to buy anything else!!

Beauty Tag!

I'm pretty sure this is an old tag but I really wanted to do one and this took my fancy!

What's your favorite make up look?

At the moment I’m loving the what-I-call “peaches and cream” look. I have very pale skin and I am enjoying using peachy blush colours and coral / peach lipsticks.

What is your must-have beauty product?

For me, an under eye cream is really important. Right now I’m using Laura Mercier’s “Secret Concealer” which is really helping to hide the dark circles under my eyes!!

What part of your body do you love?

I am very blessed to have thick, fairly long hair. It is a strange colour (goldey, brownish, sometimes a tiny bit ginger), but I am often complimented on it and I am lucky that it has lots of volume too.

Personally, I think I have nice teeth! I had awful, horrendous baby teeth, but my adult ones have turned out to be fine and I have had braces so they are perfectly straight....a smile is so important to me!

Who is your beauty icon?

I have a fair few “beauty icons” or “beauty envy’s”... here’s the first ones that spring to mind:

Marilyn Monroe - I’m sorry how could you think she isn’t beautiful?!

Adele - always envious of her perfect eyeliner and amazing nails

Katy Perry - sometimes she’s a little OTT but can pull off the glamourous look I absolutely love so amazingly.

Emma Watson - Generally she has the perfect natural look

Zoella - yes I have a slight obsession!!

What beauty product makes you feel instantly good?

Recently I have gone a little bit crazy about lipstick so I will go for that... it makes me feel a little more glam! (yes I am wearing some today even though I’ve got trackies on and I’m not leaving the house...)

How do you look after your skin?

I am incredibly lucky to have non-troublesome skin, obviously there’s the odd annoyance but overall it’s pretty good so I don’t spend too much time looking after it. I’m using the Bare Minerals Deep Cleansing Foam at the moment which my Mum gave to me because she got it in a set (I think) and didn’t need it. I also moisturize frequently and occasionally use a face scrub or some form of pore cleansing thing.

What is your hair care secrets?

I brush my at least twice a day (sometimes more because I find it quite enjoyable) and wash it every other day with Herbal Essences shampoo / conditioners. I never blow dry it myself and rarely ever straighten or curl it because I can’t be bothered... so it doesn’t get much heat exposure!

How do you pamper yourself?

I love a nice bubble bath and do enjoy a “mini pamper evening” of being in there for ages before applying a nice body butter and using a mask or cleansing my face whilst it soaks in. I will then sort my nails out as they are often in awful condition because I bite them. I AM SO JEALOUS of Soph’s nails... they are Perfection with a capital P.

What is your beauty annoyance?

The thing that annoys me most is when people use far too much foundation and look completely orange. I really don’t think it’s necessary, it’s not a very good look and is probably not great for your skin.

What would your desert island must haves be?

*A good book

*A few cartons of apple juice

*Some ice cream

*the playstation game Singstar with all my favourite songs on it.

*A bag of make up I can "play with"

*suncream

*sunglasses

*A bikini

*a pretty dress

*my hairbrush

March favourites!

Hey guys!

So due to my rather hectic schedule I have missed the shot with my February favouties ( due to the date being MARCH the 3rd ) So I thought I would be prepared and let you in on the things I know I will be loving this month..

SONG:  

One Direction 'One Way Or Another ( teenage kicks)

I do not want you guys to think I am full on creepy obsessed with the boys but I have no shame in admitting my love for them. However even if you are not a direction like moi I think this song is amazing - a) it has been produced for a worth while cause and the video gives you a snippet of the work the boys have done b) most of us know the words to it! and c) THEY LOOK SO DARN CUTE IN THE VIDEO!

But yes I think it is a worth while purchase and a great song to have a little dance around too! Plus there is cheeky shower shot of Niall.. (HANDS OFF HE IS MINE!)

PRODUCT:

bourjois healthy mix serum 

Currently I am lacking in money for expensive make up ( I am saving for a splurge for prom! ) so I have been scouring reviews of high street products to find the perfect new foundation! And I must say I am love love loving Bourjois healthy mix serum! The smell is really really nice!! And not even just for a foundation it is all fruity and fresh and I love it! It has a more flawless finish and you can build up from reasonable to  high coverage which is perfect for me! And at the £10 mark with the level not moving since Christmas despite daily usage I am very impressed! 

ITEM OF CLOTHING:

MOTO SUPERSOFT SKINNY LEIGH JEANS

After a cheeky shopping spree in London I got these blue/black jeans from topshop - they are skin tight but move with you (literally with the movement of leggings) and they are so easily dressed up or down and are perfect for majority of situations! Darker colours are always great for winter and they go with literally all my jumpers and tops so yes! They are fab

MOVIE:

GROWN UPS

I have never laughed so much at a movie EVER! I am a feel good movie lover and it hits the nail on the head and I laughed throughout. It is the kind of movie that you quote to one another afterwards - mine and my brothers particular favourite quote is 'I WANNA GET CHOCOLATE WASTED'. It has a really really good cast which makes it even funnier and ah it just makes me smile! If you are ever feeling remotely down I would suggest watching this as it is a film you will laugh allowed even if you are in bed alone!!

 RANDOM:

Electric blanket

Now I realise this is very very weird.. But I had to be honest and my electric blanket is one of my favourite things ever.. I have had days where I have been so tired and down that I have cried with happiness when I've looked at my bed! It is just a giant hot water bottle, it is as toasty as you like. My sleep pattern is appalling and when I wake up shaking at 4am I can put it on for half an hour to just settle down again and it works wonders! I watch majority of tv and videos online in bed and it makes them 10x more enjoyable! So as sad as I sound I owe it to my blanket to stress to you all how much you are missing out!!!!
